I spent last week with the Escapee Shanty Shakers in San Diego  County  at Guajome Regional Campground. What a gem in the middle of civilization. Lots of grassy areas where we played bocce ball. It was my first time and my team finish second in our mini tournament.
Guajome Lake was peaceful and serene full of lots of bird life.

And more walking trails than you could walk in a day.

And finally after bocce ball, hiking, contemplating on the lake's edge, and a tour of the Rancho Guajome Adobe, we had dinner at the best Mexican restuarant. The service and prices were excellent and the chicken fajitas were the just the right blend of spices .The only down side to a restuarant of that caliber was I ate too much.

Sportster , the famous cat in the book COAST TO COAST WITH ACAT AND A GHOST, enjoyed hunting "in the wild" chasing the squirels  that invaded our campsite.
